Sons Of 03:50
Sons of the thief, sons of the saint Who is the child with no complaint Sons of the great or sons unknown All were children like your own The same sweet smiles, the same sad tears The cries at night, the nightmare fears Sons of the great or sons unknown All were children like your own... So long ago: long, long, ago... But sons of tycoons or sons of the farms All of the children ran from your arms Through fields of gold, through fields of ruin All of the children vanished too soon In tow’ring waves, in walls of flesh Among dying birds trembling with death Sons of tycoons or sons of the farms All of the children ran from your arms... So long ago: long, long, ago... But sons of your sons or sons passing by Children we lost in lullabies Sons of true love or sons of regret All of the sons you cannot forget Some built the roads, some wrote the poems Some went to war, some never came home Sons of your sons or sons passing by Children we lost in lullabies... So long ago: long, long, ago But, sons of the thief, sons of the saint Who is the child with no complaint Sons of the great or sons unknown All were children like your own The same sweet smiles, the same sad tears The cries at night, the nightmare fears Sons of the great or sons unknown All were children like your own... Like your own, like your own

O mio babbino caro, mi pia ce, è bello bello, vo’ andare in Porta Rossa a comperar l’anello! Si, si, ci voglio andare! E se l’a ma sindarno, andrei sul Ponte Vecchio ma per buttarmi in Arno! Mi struggo e mi tormento, O Dio! Vorrei morir! Babbo, pietà, pietà! Babbo, pietà, pietà! Oh my dear father, I like him, he is very handsome. I want to go to Porta Rossa to buy the ring! Yes, yes, I want to go there! And if my love were in vain, I would go to Ponte Vecchio and throw myself in the Arno! I am pining and I am tormented, Oh God! I would want to die! Daddy, have mercy, have mercy! Daddy, have mercy, have mercy!

Signore, ascolta! Deh!, signore, acolta! Lord, hear! Ah, sir, listen! Liù no longer holds, it breaks my heart! Alas, what with your name in my way, with your name on the lips! But if your fate will be decided tomorrow, we die on the road of exile. He would lose his son … I am the shadow of a smile. Liù does not hold anymore! Take pity!

Fever 03:35
Never know how much I love you Never know how much I care When you put your arms around me I get a fever that’s so hard to bear You give me fever When you kiss me Fever when you hold me tight Fever! in the morning Fever all through the night Sun lights up the daytime Moon lights up the night I light up when you call my name And you know I’m gonna treat you right You give me fever When you kiss me Fever when you hold me tight Fever! in the morning Fever all through the night Everybody’s got the fever That is something you all know Fever isn’t such a new thing Fever started long ago Romeo loved Juliet Juliet, she felt the same When he put his arms around her He said, “Julie, baby, you’re my flame “Thou giveth fever “When we kisseth “Fever with thy flaming youth “Fever! I’m afire “Fever, yea, I burn, forsooth.” Cap’n Smith and Pocahontas Had a very mad affair When her daddy tried to kill him She said, “Daddy, oh, don’t you dare! “He gives me fever “With his kisses “Fever when he holds me tight “Fever! I’m his missus “Daddy, won’t you treat him right?” Now you’ve listened to my story Here’s the point that I have made We were born to give you fever Be it Fahrenheit or Centigrade We give you fever When we kiss you Fever if you live and learn Fever! till you sizzle What a lovely way to burn What a lovely way to burn Fever! What a lovely way to burn

I’m gonna love you Like nobody’s loved you Come rain or come shine High as a mountain And deep as a river Come rain or come shine I guess when you met me It was just one of those things But don’t ever bet me Cause I’m gonna be true If you let me You’re gonna love me Like nobody’s loved me Come rain or come shine Happy together, unhappy together And won’t it be fine Days may be cloudy or sunny We’re in, or we’re out of the money But I’m with you always I’m with you rain or shine I’m gonna love you Like nobody’s loved you Come rain or come shine High as a mountain Deep as a river Come rain or come shine I guess when you met me It was just one of those things But don’t ever bet me Cause I’m gonna be true Yes, I’m gonna be true If you let me You’re gonna love me Like nobody’s loved me Come rain or come shine Happy together, unhappy together And won’t it be fine Days may be cloudy or sunny We’re in, or we’re out of the money But I’ll love you always I’m with you rain or shine Come rain or shine Rain or shine

I never cared much for moonlit skies I never wink back at fireflies But now that the stars are in your eyes I’m beginning to see the light I never went in for afterglow Or candlelight on the mistletoe But now when you turn the lamp down low I’m beginning to see the light Used to ramble through the park Shadow boxing in the dark Then you came and caused a spark That’s a four-alarm fire, now I never made love by lantern shine I never saw rainbows in my wine But now that your lips are burning mine I’m beginning to see the light …. moonlit skies …. fireflies But now that the stars are in your eyes I’m beginning to see the light Used to ramble through the park Shadow boxing in the dark Then you came and caused a spark That’s a four-alarm fire, now I never made love by lantern shine I never saw rainbows in my wine But now that your lips are burning mine I’m beginning to see the light I’m beginning Beginning to see the light

It won’t be easy, you’ll think it strange When I try to explain how I feel That I still need your love after all that I’ve done You won’t believe me All you will see is a girl you once knew Although she’s dressed up to the nines At sixes and sevens with you I had to let it happen, I had to change Couldn’t stay all my life down at heel Looking out of the window Staying out of the sun So, I chose freedom Running around, trying everything new But nothing impressed me at all I never expected it to Don’t cry for me Argentina The truth is I never left you All through my wild days My mad existence I kept my promise Don’t keep your distance And as for fortune and as for fame I never invited them in Though it seemed to the world They were all I desired They are illusions They are not the solutions they promised to be The answer was here all the time I love you and hope you love me Don’t cry for me Argentina Don’t cry for me Argentina The truth is I never left you All through my wild days My mad existence I kept my promise Don’t keep your distance Have I said too much? There’s nothing more I can think of to say to you But all you have to do is look at me to know That every word is true

How can I hope to make you understand Why I do, what I do. Why I must travel to a distant land, Far from the home I love. Once I was happily content to be As I was, where I was, Close to the people who are close to me, Here in the home I love. Who could see that a man could come Who would change the shape of my dreams. Helpless now I stand with him, Watching older dreams grow dim. Oh, what a melancholy choice this is, Wanting home, wanting him, Closing my heart to every hope but his, Leaving the home I love. There where my heart has settled long ago I must go, I must go. Who could imagine I’d be wand’ring so Far from the home I love. Yet there with my love, I’m home.

Hi! I’m your Weather Girl And have I got news for you You better listen now! Get ready, all you lonely girls and leave those umbrellas at home Humidity’s rising, Barometer’s getting low According to all sources, the street’s the place to go Cause tonight for the first time Just about half-past ten For the first time in history It’s gonna start raining men. It’s Raining Men! Hallelujah! It’s Raining Men! Amen! I’m gonna go out, I’m gonna let myself get, Absolutely soaking wet! It’s Raining Men! Hallelujah! It’s Raining Men! Every Specimen! Tall, blonde, dark and lean Rough and tough and strong and mean God bless Mother Nature, she’s a single woman too She took off to heaven, she did what she had to do She taught every angel to rearrange the sky So that each and every woman could find her perfect guy It’s Raining Men! Hallelujah! It’s Raining Men! Amen! It’s Raining Men! Hallelujah! It’s Raining Men! Amen! I... feel... stormy... weather... moving... in About to begin With... the... thunder... don’t... you... loose... your... head Rip off the roof and stay in bed! God bless Mother Nature, she’s a single woman too She took off to heaven, and she did what she had to do She taught every angel, she rearranged the sky So that each and every woman could find her perfect guy It’s Raining Men! Yeah!

(Sarah) Why are there so many songs about rainbows And what’s on the other side Rainbows are visions But only illusions And rainbows have nothing to hide (Sarah) So we’ve been told And some choose to believe it I know they’re wrong, wait and see Some day we’ll find it The rainbow connection The lovers, the dreamers, and me (Sima) Who said that every wish Would be heard and answered When wished on the morning star Somebody thought of that And someone believed it And look what it’s done so far (Sima) What’s so amazing That keeps us stargazing And what do we think we might see Someday we’ll find it The rainbow connection The lovers, the dreamers, and me (Sarah) All of us under its spell, we know that it’s probably magic (Sima and Sarah) Have you been half asleep? And have you heard voices? I’ve heard them calling my name Is this the sweet sound That called the young sailors? The voice might be one and the same (Sima and Sarah) I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it It’s something that I’m supposed to be Someday we’ll find it The rainbow connection The lovers, the dreamers and me (Sima and Sarah) La da da da da da da da da da da da da da ohhh

about

This album is named “Mix It Up” because it contains a variety of music styles. Although my voice is best suited to classical music, I love singing all different styles and wanted the album to reflect this.

Although I am not a professional musician, music has been a part of my life since early childhood. I began singing before I started school, taking cello lessons in elementary school and playing French Horn in high school. I continued singing and playing French Horn through college. Since college, I have continued to sing. Currently, I sing with the Jewish People’s Philharmonic Chorus.

When I was 13, I began taking voice lessons with Alma Mae Vajas and have never stopped. She teaches Vocal Behavior Training (VBT), an unusual method. Without Alma and this method, I would not have been able to make this recording.

After several years of coaxing by Robert, I finally agreed to record an album. Thank you for convincing me to make this recording and supporting the process, including the making of this wonderful cover, booklet and CD top. I enjoyed the preparation of the songs, my coaching sessions with Dennis Buck and the recording sessions with Dennis and Chip Fabrizi at P.P.I. Recording. Thank you Dennis and Chip. I would also like to thank my parents for supporting my singing and voice lessons throughout my life. Finally, thank you Sarah for letting me sing for you and singing The Rainbow Connection with me.
